A Veteran's Day 'Thank You'
This past weekend my youngest son walked up to me and said "Here, Daddy. This is for protecting our country and keeping us safe." Along with a big hug he gave me this wonderful drawing:
I served a little over 4 years in the Army. It was a wonderful, eye opening and learning experience. I am glad that our troops are finally coming home and I am thankful for all of the men and women that serve in our Armed Forces to keep us safe and keep this the best country in the world. They are true heroes in my book.

Batman of the Future
This is Wolverine, the prodigy of the fine artist, who came up with this blog.
What inspired me about this picture was the cartoon that went with it. The future Batman was just a teenager who's father was murdered by a pshyco and so full with revenge Terry Mcgenese stole the batsuit after the original Batman retired. I hope you like this picture because I think it is one of my best.

Pizza Party
I think it turned out just pretty good. Everyone is enjoying a slice of pepperoni pizza. I hope she likes it. Sometimes it takes me forever to get a picture going. I have to actually be in the mood to draw. If I'm not 100% ready then I can't draw a straight line with a ruler.
Either way, I am finally done with it and I can get on to two other requests that have been made. One being from my oldest son to deliver a picture of Nightwing and Robin fighting. I already have an idea in mind and I do believe I am ready to start it next.

Cool New Drawings
Once again my oldest son has graced us with some of his new artwork. We were suppose to have uploaded these a while back but I wanted to wait until he could give me a description for each of them. I wanted to actually let him type it in. We never seemed to have time to do it. Our weekends seem to be over before they even get started.
Either way, here are some new drawings for everyone to take a look at. I think they are very nice.

For Someone?
I just wanted to do this one. No one asked for it but I figured if there was a certain little girl out there that may love SpongeBob then this could be for her. Right now I have to get started on my next one. I have yet another request. This time it is for a picture of me and my oldest daughter sitting on a park bench watching Wonder Woman fly by. Oh yeah. This is going to take a while.

Batman
I just got this one done this morning and wanted to hurry and put it on the blog. I've been working on this once ever since I completed the first Wonder Woman picture. I've never really shaded in the entire paper before and now I have learned something. Lead loves fingerprints, duh. I guess I am going to have to be more careful the next time I try to do that. Either way, I think this one turned out quit nice. I thought since I drew Superman and Wonder Woman I should finish out DC's 'Holy Trinity' by adding Batman.

Another Request
After seeing the last Wonder Woman picture that she requested on the blog, my oldest daughter instantly requested another picture. What she asked for was a picture of wonder Woman tying Supergirl up with her magic lasso. After starting, this is what I came up with. I think it turned out pretty good. I know that Supergirl is not tied up but she is definitely worried about what is going to happen next. I hope my daughter likes it.

Wonder Woman
After seeing the picture of Superman I had drawn for my oldest son, my oldest daughter requested a picture of Wonder Woman. Well, here she is. I think it turned out quit nice. I hope she likes it. I enjoyed drawing this one. Hoepfully its good enough for my little Wonder Woman.

Superman
Earlier this week my oldest son asked me to draw him a picture of his favorite superhero. It just so happens that his favorite superhero is none other than Superman. I got started on it right away and actually finished it this morning. I enjoy drawing this way. Thick, heavy border lines, shading everything in so that it all fits together. I have to admit that I messed up on the actual logo. If you look close enough you can see that I put too much pressure on the pencil when I first did my out line. That caused the pencil lines to show when I was shading in parts of Superman's foot and cape. Hopefully my Superman will like it.

Lonesome Loser
This guy is pretty cool. The entire time I was working on this I had the song 'Lonesome Loser' running through my head. Once I find some blendable color pencils I might try this one again in color.

Still Here
Yes, I am still here. It's been so long since I have posted anything that there is a 3 inch layer of dust on my blog page. I guess the creative juices just haven't been flowing. I get like that from time to time. I'll go for a long time with out the urge to draw anything and if I try to make myself it will turn out looking like I tried to draw it on the back of a run away rhino during an earthquake. Hopefully I will be able to come up with something soon. In the meantime, though, I have 4 of the coolest guest artists that you will ever find ready to jump in and take up my slack. So without any ado here they are:
Here he has drawn us his own character creation named War Hawk. He said that he got the idea from DC Comic's Hawk Man. I think he did an excellent job on this. He has actually came up with his own hero universe. I have seen his characters and they are very good. He puts a lot of time and thought into each of them. He gives them their own names, list of powers and weaknesses and whether they are a hero or a villain. He has even started drawing his characters in comic book form where a certain hero has a story line and villain or villains to defeat. I love to see his drawings. I love the fact that we share a passion for comic books and of all things heroic. We can sit a talk about it for hours. He recently informed me that he loves to read my blog. He said that he really enjoyed looking at it and that he spends a lot of time here, so because of that I will try to make at least one new post every month. Just so he will have something new to look at. Thank you, Big Man for letting me unveil your newest hero here. I hope you will always love to create the way you do now. Just so long as you DON'T DO IT DURING SCHOOL!!!
She received a fashion designer kit for Christmas and has been putting it to good use. As you can see she has created a wonderful ensemble that will undoubtedly rock the fashion world at the next big show in Paris. Everything is color coordinated and matched just perfectly. I love sitting with her while she creates her next outrageous design. She takes the time to look through all of her patterns and comes up with the best outfit imaginable. Whether she 'Just Woke Up', or is 'Going to the Pool', or even 'Going to the Prom' She is sure to put all the right pieces together to make a one of a kind perfect look. Way to go Dumplin and thank you for letting me walk your master piece down this blog's catwalk.
